Grass Valley’s LDX C150, just announced at the 2023 IBC in Amsterdam, fills out the superfecta of GV’s 100 series cameras. With this camera comes our latest 3-imager UHD optical block capable of delivering full resolution highspeed UHD (HDR / WCG) as either SDI or 2110 directly from the camera head, all in a box form factor package under 6.5lbs. This technology, wrapped up in a small package, is perfect for any difficult installation or use case where size and weight are critical.

Of particular interest for the latest LED volume production environments, the c150, like its siblings, is exceptionally adept at delivering images from high refresh rate displays. This capability is supported by imagers that are exceedingly resistant to parasitic light sensitivity (PLS) and Grass Valley’s V-Shift function which provides millisecond accurate image exposure timing to select specific slices while having no impact on downstream timing.

The C150 also outputs the required full resolution triple-speed UHD (3x or 6x 3G-HD) phases accompanied by your choice of UHD / HD full resolution single speed live images. This makes the camera a useful source for your live switched production as well as slow motion replay.

Behind this latest camera is Grass Valley’s Creative Grading control system which brings both tactile control for in-the-moment adjustments and a user-friendly GUI which enhances camera setup and system management.
